Vega lounge chair by Jasper Morrison for Artifort, Netherlands 1990s

The Artifort Vega Armchair is a quirky design by Jasper Morrison. A design that does well as a lone, or in a group. The round shapes of the seat and backrest contrast with the tight yet curved base. The steel connector that connects the seat to the backrest reinforces this contrast. The way the steel is bent over the seat to tilt the backrest slightly backwards is an innovative processing of the material. The upholstery options are endless, with the extra option to make the backrest and seat in a different upholstery or color. This makes the combinations even more extensive.
