Safari lounge chair by Poul Hundevad for Vamdrup, Denmark 1950s

Mid century modern safari or campaign chair. Designed by Poul Hundevad and produced by Vamdrup in the 1950s.
The frame is made from oak. It has a seat and back made from canvas.
The chair is designed so that it can be taken apart and flat packed.
The frame is held together by the canvas seat and back and wooden wedges.

The chair is in good vintage condition with age and use consistent user marks and wear. The canvas has faded through the years but is still very strong and without tears or holes.
