Specifications
Space age Bärenbank by Walter Papst for Wilkhahn, Germany 1960s
Model 1000 bench. Designed by Walter Papst and produced by Wilkhahn Germany in the 1960s.
The sculptural design bench is made of fiberglass reinforced resin.
The surface of the bench has a worn look. It has been repainted several times in its lifetime. Structurally the bench is in very good condition without cracks, breaks or holes.
Although the fiberglass structure is thin, the strength of the bench is amazing due to the design.
