Mid century modular sofa made from solid beech, Netherlands 1960s
Mid century seating group. Made from solid beech with ribcord upholstery. The frames are made from slats of wood connected by a threaded rods that go through the wood and are fixed with brass hex nuts. It can be placed in different configurations making it a design suitable for every interior and situation. The widest combination is a whopping 432cm when placed next to each other.
The cushions are upholstered in the original beige ribcord fabric. Still in good but used condition. All the covers have zippers and can be easily taken off to wash.
The entire set can be disassembled and flat packed for easy storage or transport.
The cushions have discoloration and some wear and tear. The wood is in good condition with some age consistent signs of use and wear. Overall the set is in good vintage condition that can be customized by having new covers made in the color and fabric that suits you.
It was hand made in the 1960s by a skilled craftsman with great eye for detail and construction.
