Specifications

Large Tricena pendant lamp by Ingo Maurer for M design, Germany 1970s

Largest version of the iconic space age Tricena pendant lamp. Designed by Ingo Maurer and produced by M design in the 1970s.

Ingo Maurer (12 May 1932 – 21 October 2019) was a German industrial designer who specialised in the design of lamps and light installations. He was nicknamed "poet of light".

The shade and diffuser are made from molded acrylic glass with a chromed metal fixture. The lamp is suspend with a nylon wire.

The lamp is in good vintage condition with some signs of use and age. The shade has one spot on the top. This looks like a flaw from the molding process and inconspicuous from below.
