Mid century industrial coat stand, Netherlands 1960s

Large metal coat stand. Precision machined in the 1960s in the Netherlands. It is made from steel and aluminium. The top part can rotate. Big and impressive piece that was probably a one of piece made by a metal machining company. Seeing the date on the top part it was made in February 1968 .
Made with great precision and an eye for detail. The tripod rods for instance are nog topped off with plastic caps but welded shut. The aluminium parts are anodized in pink, gold and green.

This coat rack was probably made to show off what the company who made it was able to do.

The coat stand is still in great condition with age consistent signs of use and wear. The steel parts have some oxidation consistent with age.
