Impressive ceramic art installation by Dieter Eichelmann, Germany 1990s
Large and colorful art installation. This piece was created by Dieter Eichelmann for the "Pillars of Freedom" project. A worldwide social political project where numerous artist created artistic pillars.
The pillar for sale consists of 10 handcrafted and hand painted tubes. They are stacked on each other forming a 310cm tall pillar.
Originally it was installed on a pole attached to a steel plate which is not present anymore. The pieces can be placed separately or by adding a 300cm long pole it can be displayed in its original form.
All pieces are numbered and the top piece holds the makers mark.
Each piece is painted by hand in geometric designs and multiple bright colors.
Despite the age and the outside installment, the work is still in very good condition. Some minor signs of use and wear.
