Hanging cast bronze candelabra by Michael Harjes, Germany 1960s

Cast bronze candelabra. It has 4 arms that are set on a central rod. The arms can rotate around the rod. At the bottom it is capped with a cast bronze cap and at the top it has a cast bronze cap with an eye. It comes with 4 cast bronze suspension rods with hook and eye and one cast bronze ceiling hook. Each suspension rod measures 24cm in length. By hooking the rods onto each other the total length is adjustable. The candelabra itself measures 33cm from side to side and 28cm in height. Harjes Metallkunst (metal art) has for three generations worked bell bronze into candle holders, bowls, door handles and other decorative objects. The Harjes collection offers designs which are ideal for festivities, everyday use or religious occasions. The Harjes designs, from conception through to their final production, are made using traditional hand crafting methods which have developed through the generations.
